Dyfrdwy Tramway: last steam of the year...
The unseasonably warm weather meant I decided to brave cleaning up the railway and giving some trains a run in the garden. We had the Andrew Barclay, and the G-series out...
The weather being mild meant we got a nice 45 minutes of running and shunting, it's fun with two engines to avoid one another on the limited track plan! The G-series worked well, my son driving, although he did drive through the oily water on the wharf which meant a bit of wheel spin on the steeper sections of line - it really would benefit from all wheel drive, which I can add, but I've always been worried by excessive wear as the chain is very tight.
Anyway, good fun, and spurring me on to do some more 7/8ths modelling this winter. More soon...
