Friday Update: Twenty-one Two Twenty...

A little later today than usual, thats the half term holidays for you! Busy this week, but some prototypes here not ready for the light of day yet, but all exciting stuff. Lots of weathering large and small this week...
Here you see the Planet Industrial's Devonport Barclay that was released this week, a Model-Rail J70 (see separate post) and a large scale 7/8ths 'tin turtle' from Swift Sixteen, all being weathered.
The last step for the Barclay is now some glazing, but I've added a wash of dirt, dry brushing and airbrushed soot to the body and I think it's started to come to life, as these things do! I must crack on with the micro layout so it has a home to run. They have been selling better than expected this week, so if you're keen get yourself one quickly or you'll be waiting for a second batch.
If you head over to the largest model railway forum in the UK, RMWeb you'll see the model on the front page (thanks Phil) on the news section.
The Swift Sixteen tin turtle is a commission paint and weather. This finish is supposed to represent a just delivered model, so no real rust patches but accumulated shipping dirt and some muddy scuffs on the bodywork. The exhaust is particularly convincing in the flesh, although photos are difficult to capture the effect, I've got a second of these to work on next week before the commission is complete.
Finally, there is a very short interview with me in Heritage Railway magazine about the Planet diesel, thanks to Gareth for the coverage. There is another batch literally in my workshop at the moment being prepared for sale, so they will be back on stock at the Narrow Planet marketplace very quickly. We should also have the Version 2 on sale very soon, ahead of it's expected Easter release.
Have a good weekend - more soon...
