Ribbons
A second compendium of Creative Railway Modelling is in the final stages of preparation...
Following the warm reception of the first Ribbons, and the selling out of two print runs in quick succession it was inevitable a second would materlise. In this expanded 60 page edition we have the same recipe, a mixture of names you know, and others you don't, both longer and shorter pieces but all written with heart and with the power to make us think, to reflect upon what railway modelling means to us, through understanding what it means to others...
Contributors to this second issue are Steve Beadle, Jonathan Davidson, Matt Ellis, James Hilton, Hugh Hurley, Stephen Lawrence, Will Lloyd, Martyn Mullander, Steve Purves, Michael Scott, Alan Sewell and Oly Turner.

A new project, and one that I would appreciate your help and support with...
Following the 'Compendium' trilogy, enthused and inspired to create something beyond my voice, yet with the same heart, Ribbons isn’t about model railways, it is model railways…
Within its 40 pages you will find heartfelt pieces about why people ‘do’ this hobby. Entertaining reading too, and profusely illustrated with large enticing photographs; it is quite unlike anything else I’ve seen in the hobby print market.
Inside the first issue you will find articles by Oly Turner from OTCM, Matthieu Lachance of Hedley Junction, artist Tim Ellis, poet and writer Jonathan Davidson as well as pieces by fellow modellers Matt Owen, Ian Longden, Roger Swan and David Murray - oh and me too!
This has been an experiment. Perhaps a one off, perhaps a series, we will see how things go...

A 'compendium'?
"A collection of concise but detailed information about a particular subject, especially in a book or other publication." This time a collection beyond my own work, kind contributions from friends and fellow modellers alike, the subject being...
Creative Railway Modelling?
Isn't all modelling 'creative'? Yes, and no... I'm not particularly interested in reading about how you did something - but why you made it. The story of creation and creative writing. Story telling, poetry even?
