C2 in 009: chassis and boiler...

Now what's this? A real blast from the past! I first started planning this in July 2014!

So a Fleischmann BR81 N gauge chassis, paired with a 3D printed boiler and some etched disc wheel inserts... some filing, cutting and adjustment and we have something looking pretty promising - and certainly exciting enough to move to the next stage!

The disc wheel etches are designed by me - and etched by Steve - and very effective indeed. I used them on my Krauss loco ages ago too and when painted you can't tell they used to be spoked wheels.

Here you can see the model next to the PX48 (which is shortened about 5mm in boiler length to fit the Bachmann chassis it sits on) but it still shows how much smaller the C2 is compared to it!
