Dyfrdwy Tramway: steam in the garden...
A lovely sunny day here in the Dee valley, and so with a quiet day planned an opportunity to get the live steam out in the garden. This is the second steam of 2019, the first being at John Wenlock's a few weeks ago, and it was noticeably warmer in the afternoon sunshine...
40 odd minutes of shunting trucks around the system - and generally smiling. The air was cold enough for some lovely steam effects, although of course only under load, so non in these stationary photos!
Performing well, although I wonder if a slomo would improve the slow starting performance and avoid run-aways down hill, but for now a solid and well loved performer on the railway.
I hope to add a few more scenic items in the coming weeks and months for the second spring in the garden. More soon...
