Romanian Draisine in 009: finished
Well it seems like an age but with ExpoNG approaching I wanted to take something unusual to display in Tim's display cabinet...
So the closest to finishing was the Draisine - before it could be finished I had to repair the rear bumper as the plasticard L section had snapped. I replaced it and then added 0.7mm diameter wire to strengthen it. Once this was painted I applied some matt varnish to the body shell with my airbrush.
When this had dried I dry brushed some gun-metal on the edge of the steps, the bumpers, cow-catcher and buffers. A dirty brown was then airbrushed over the chassis and up the lower body sides. When this had dried I added a diesel fuel stain from the fuel filler...

Re-assembly was simply fitting the glazing with a spot of PVA and pushing the chassis, which is a push fit, back into the body. Come and see it, along with Wasp and Saxon at the show this weekend - I'll be behind 'Grindley Brook Wharf'...
