Romanian Krauss in 009: new cab rear...
Just to show that progress is being made albeit slowly around my wife's revision, the Krauss has a new cab back sheet. I'm much happier with this new width, it captures the look of the prototype much more closely...
Fabricated from 30thou plasticard in the same way as last time - a 0.9mm pilot hole is drilled, then opened out with reamers to 2mm. Then a circular file was used to open up to about 3.5mm and the final size (about 5.5mm) was achieved by gently opening out by twisting in my fingers a tapered flat file. Not exactly precision but it's done a reasonable job :) You can see the reduced width (24mm) vs the original cab back sheet (27mm) and how this captures the prototype more accurately.
More soon...
