Down the Manifold Way...

Last year my daughter and I rode the southern half of the Manifold Way from Waterhouses up to Thor's Cave. Today we went back and did the northern half down from Hulme End...

This is a beautiful and peaceful part of the Peak District and we had a lovely day with good food in the Hulme End cafe. I spent most of the ride imagining being the driver of the distinctive Leek and Manifold locomotives heading along the line.

Here are a few of the photos I took. Perhaps inspiration for a future model, I've already began cutting plastic for a station building based on the intermediate stations. More soon. Perhaps...
