Porthgain in 009: more details...

It's funny sometimes how even just a few small details transform a model...

Porthgain, my Andrew Barclay tank on a Grafar 04 chassis, has been a slow build but with the fitting of cab handrails, roof supports and feed valves, along with some water tank lids, has come alive!

The roof supports have visually balanced the rear of the loco perfectly, and I can't wait to finish her off and get her painted now. What's left? A pair of sandboxes for each running board, cab foot steps, a few rivets on the buffer beams and a representation of backhead detail, brake stand, gauges etc in the open cab.
