5 locos weathered...
Those that follow my blog will have seen quite a few locomotives progress over the past 6 months...
However, not much was finished - and as such it was tonight that I pushed 5 models a good step closer to completion!
First up the Hungarian forestry diesel - I fitted the buffers, painted the cab door window frames a wooden colour, picked out the door handles and headlights in silver and the door handrails in yellow. Then weathered, dry brushed silver on metal edges, washes on the foot boards, and bonnet sides, a dusty light brown weathering from above with the airbrush, brown from below, and soot on the exhaust...

The two O&Ks are looking great... The black 20hp one has had works plates added, but also the smokebox door diamond. The chassis and underframe were given a wash of dark brown, as was the foot plate and tops of the 40hp tanks, then airbrushed dust from above, dirt from below and some soot to the cab roof with my airbrush.
The fourth locomotive is the Hunslet Waril that I 'finished' a long time ago - this got a wash that was cleaned off to leave some streaks and dirt in the edges before dust again from above, brown from below and soot on the roof.
Very nice James - they certainly look the part now. Just some crew and you're done.
