Brian Madge Ruston 48DL: all in a days work...
You might not believe me but the Brian Madge Ruston you see hear took just 4 hours work today...
The kit is very nicely designed and I chose to solder mine using my usual low melt 145degC solder. I don't think I'll fit a cab door as mine is inspired the one on the Pikes tramway in Dorset.
Here you can see just how tiny it is despite being a lot larger than the LA/LB, the photos with my tiny Bagnall show the narrow width and low height. I hope to add a little weight to the inside off the bonnet and behind the buffer beams and then run it in before painting.
In the pictures you can see a modified Hornby driver who will be painted up to crew the diminutive locomotive. More soon...
