Quintus in 009: lining complete...

Wow what a labour of love, and some questions about the original style of lining on the tanks, but at last, it's finished...
The cab features a black edging, with a thin orange band, as well as the panel on the lower cab side - based on photos... At some point in the early 1950s the tank on the prototype was replaced, with a taller one, it is this tank that appears unlined in Ivo Peter's photos - whereas the original tank, which is what I've tried to capture, was lined.
So a coat of Dull-cote in the morning before detail painting, weathering - and then I really should draw up some custom small Manning Wardle works plates and Quintus name plates. More soon...
