Hunslet in 006.5: ready for primer...
Here Lord Goddard stands next to his engine, a proud man of his minimum gauge estate railway (!)... it gives you an idea of the Hunslet's size, as without anything else it's hard to scale it! So what have I done to finish it off?
The first job was safety valves. These are plastic rod, wrapped with micro-strip and then put into the dome and bedded in with filler. The whistle was fitted after these were dry, and is a lost wax brass one that Stu was kind enough to pass on to me a while ago... the smokebox dark is also from him.

I also added the blower pipe, I think it's that anyway, along one side of the boiler into the smokebox. This is 0.4mm brass wire. The coal bunker is just sections of micro strip. The water filler lids (2 on the tanks, one on the well in front of the cylinder) are 20thou styrene cut with a leather punch and then a ball of fluid lead superglued to the centre.
On the rear of the cab I added two sliding doors from 10thou styrene and microstrip. Inside the cab I added a brake stand (again a spare from Stu) firebox top (from a Brian Madge casting - thanks Brian) and regulator. I also added some styrene parts, the bunker on the left hand side and the gauges above the firebox.
The last thing is two small lubricators either side of the smokebox, from styrene rod and some RT Models hand wheels. These really finish it off. So what's left? Nothing - ready for primer! More soon...
