Musing over: La Meuse...

The Neil Sayer 009 kit for the 600mm prototype 2-6-0t Le Meuse tank engine has arrived...

Wonderfully packaged, complete with a chassis (a complete Graham Farish 08 N gauge diesel shunter) and separately packed brass castings, white metal castings and etched nickel silver frets, all the required pins, nuts, wire and extrusions.

A brief look at the etches shows just how fine the valve gear parts are! This is going to be one hell of a learning curve, but after this I would feel comfortable doing a complete chassis build next time... Maybe that NGG16 Garratt...
