Faur L18H vs LKM V10C...

Two recent offerings in 009, both depicting Eastern European industrial narrow gauge diesels, both using the Grafar 08 chassis and both using 3D printing...
That's where the similarity ends though! They both make best use of the materials for the relevant prototype - the boxy square nature of the Faur, and very large windowed cab lends itself to brass and the subtle curves and angles on the LKM are best represented purely in printed material.
You'll notice I have ditched the printed side frames on the LKM for a chopped down Grafar chassis, this gives spring detail and was the easiest way to correct the issues in the print design of what was essentially a prototype print. In the process I found out just how brittle Shapeways Frosted Ultra Detail is hence the holes in the front end that will need filling with filler when the body has been degreased. More soon...
