PX48 in 009: gap filling...

After fitting the chimney and dome yesterday I have now filled the gap around the dome and the gap between smokebox and boiler...

I used Squadron white putty, which is easy to use and dries quickly. I glued some card inside the smokebox too so I could repair the bottom edges with filler.

I had sourced some detail parts from Craftsman. The air brake compressor was the right sort of size but didn't have the fins on the lower section so I scribed these on. The lubricator isn't quite right but is more detailed than the 3D printed item it removed.

I think it's time for primer now though... More soon...
