O&K 30hp in 009: starting in 3D...
Well things move fast when you're excited and I was keen to make a start on the 3D model of the O&K 30hp steam engine...
I have been pouring over books today and scaling dimensions from a great drawing in one of my Czech books of a generic O&K 50hp engine. It transpires Paul's model is a cross between a 30hp and 50hp, with the length of boiler of the latter, but height of the former. My own version with a low detail 3D print with etched add ons will be a cross between the two designs optimised to look good on the Minitrains chassis. More soon...
