LKM V10C in 009: fly crank fettling...
I've wondered if it would be possible to fit weight extensions to the fly cranks on a Graham Farish 08 for some time...
Tonight I used some 40thou plasticard and with a bit of patience I finished off the chassis mods and crafted these beauties. They are 3.5mm wide, 2.5mm long. I marked up plasticard in 3.5x5mm rectangles, drilled a hole in the centre, opened this out to 2.75mm and then cut them out. The ends we're rounded gently before super gluing them to the cranks. A gentle file to make sure they didn't hit the rods and they look great.
I plan to get some primer on the body and chassis frame later in the week. More soon...
