Quintus in 009: handrails...
One of the defining aspects of the Manning Wardle designs was the shape of their saddle tanks and the position of the tank handrails...
Tonight I used Gibson 'short' handrail knobs - drilling 0.9mm holes in the tank and supergluing these in before fitting 0.45mm wire. The curved front handrail was bent around the shaft of a craft blade handle to give it a consistent curve.
I have also added cab handrails to the front edge - I have not done the rear ones as through the downscaling, I've not made the cab quite big enough to pull them off. I'm hoping my RT Models order arrives soon - it will provide a fair number of details I need to add before primer. More soon...
