Fletcher Jennings in 009: boiler fittings...
The tiny Fletcher Jennings has taken another step towards completion...
The loco is looking a lot more complete after tonight's work. I started with the RT Models etched spectacles which transformed the cab. The wheel splashers are section of 10mm plastic tube cut down and then filled with filler.
The boiler band and beading on the cab front we're added with plastic strip. The dome was then made with styrene tube, shaped with files and then by hearing up the handle on my craft knife on the hob, I was able to flare the base. The chimney was also fitted. The clack valves were added but I haven't fitted any of the pipework yet. More soon...
