Chassis workings...

Christmas prep and the day itself slowed modelling a little but I managed an hour or so this morning so decided to make progress on my micro motored chassis...

Seen here on the N gauge wheel cleaner is the wonderful Narrow Planet Hudson Hunslet. This now has its pickups fitted and can run with picking up power itself, a real achievement. It's not the most controllable speed range but I hope it improves with time as the drive beds in...

Also in shot is the Roco chassis that's been massively cut down and fitted with a micro motor. This has the original worm gear fitted and is simply superglued to the chassis. This hasn't had pickups fitted however when connected direct to the controller it runs nice and smoothly and pretty quietly. It will need as much weight in the body as I can cram in. More soon...
