Four L18H in 009: in primer...
It seems an absolute age that any progress was made on the Faur, but in recent months stuff has been happening (slowly) in the background and now I can share the result...
The body print has been modified to include the basic cab structure - to which a roof is fitted. This is because of the problems of folding up the original design etched cab. This has meant that the print is now through Shapeways and in Frosted Ultra Detail - but the result is very nice and quick to clean up.

The bonnet panels now affix to a solid bonnet top, rather than the original frame, and the side panels, still etched, fit onto larger tabs to aid building. Other etched components include the roof, light grills, cab rear protector and the various lifting eyes and brackets. Also fitted are Bosna couplings, and a selection of air brake pipes (Hornby 4mm spares) and lights (from the scrap box).
I've fitted bonnet handrails too - the holes for these, plus a few minor mods, will be made to the print before a final prototype is assembled by Steve. I expect we'll move the model under the EuroNG banner at release, due for Q1 2016. More soon...
