Faur L18H in 009: washed but dirty...
The Faur has received the first two stages of it’s
weathering and is looking suitably ‘scruffy’ now, partially be design,
partially by accident!
The model has been given a wash of Humbrol 33 (Matt Black). This was in places wiped, other places dabbed off – and this has left a variable patina of finish, and in some places attached the lining transfers (the accidental bit), but the overall impact is a coherent whole.
I have also drybrushed Humbrol 53 (Gun metal) on the cab handrails, door step edge and foot holds as well as the buffers and lifting rings. The last stage will be an airbrush of dust and grime to tie the wash and dry brushing together.
