Faur L18H in 009: weathered...

Following in from yesterdays update on the Faur, this evening I dug out the airbrush...
This was used to add some dust to the top flat surfaces, and then build up the exhaust deposits around the exhaust stack and on the roof.
This model is now ready for glazing, and then can be considered finished. Destined for Bejsu Reka when I finally mobilise that layout project again!

  1. Hi James, This model is looking great - especially the 'Vee' in the front bonnet grille. Is there any update on when/if this will become a true EuroNG release? Which chassis is it designed for?

  2. Hi Rob - this model will definitely be a EuroNG release - and I plan to offer the model with transfers to recreate the finish shown above. I need to work on the design to reduce the production costs to get it down to around £50 for the kit. The chassis is a Graham Farish 08 with extensions that glue on to the flycranks. It will come with these, the couplings, transfers and all etched parts needing just some 0.4mm wire, buffer beam pipework and headlights (recommend RT Models) (which aren't on all prototypes anyway) to complete.
