Kenny Hill reprise...

It was only December when Kenny Hill left the workshop but it now seems a lifetime ago. I always enjoy seeing photos of my creations in their new homes - and Jack was kind enough to share some of his with suitably Australian stock (and cars!) over the holidays...

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the types of locomotive or stock, but I do think they look fantastic in this Australian cameo setting and I hope Jack enjoys the layout for many years to come. If you would like to work with me in 2026 to bring your own layout ideas to life, with the design process - this starts from £210 where we explore your ideas and memories as well as physical constraints to create a project that really tells your story. Until next time, enjoy these snaps, and as usual, more soon...

  1. Hi James

Kenny Hill is a real testament to your skills and I imagine your customer is very pleased. It looks so authentic as a background to those distinctive NWSGR models.
I wish I know a bit more about the models, but I do know a number of the 73-class have been sold to the Queensland sugar industry and rebuilt /re-gauged to run on 610mm (two foot tracks)!!!. I saw and photographed several on a visit in 2008 and they are imposing machines.

    Best wishes
    Alan

    1. Thanks Alan - I think I've got some photos on the Queensland systems you sent me some time ago, I must take a sort through and get them online.
