On video: 3 minutes at Paxton Road...

The latest model of the workbench is a second Railfreight Distribution model, this time an ubiquitous Tinsley 37 - and whilst I've not had a chance to write about her creation here, yet, I have been enjoying a little mindful shunting at Paxton Road...

In this short video join me to watch the daily trip working arrive at Paxton Road with some traffic for the PiChem works - which requires a barrier wagon to reach within the siding. Later, 37242 returns with the barrier and picks up the cement empties before returning from whence it came... all in my imagination and now in yours! Until next time, more soon...

  1. Perfect relaxation for a night shift tea break James. One of your best repaint and detail projects too. Take care.

  2. Both evocative and instructive, thanks James! Although I've only rarely seen 1:1 scale shunting, this brings back memories such as Eastbourne coal yard, Southerham Cement Works, etc.
The close-ups of DG couplings in action are useful, given that I need to build and fit some to my N gauge stock for Fidley sooner rather than later...
    Cheers,
    Simon.

    1. There are quite a few Paxton Road videos if you go on YouTube that show the DG, along with a workbench video of how to make them… if that helps! Best of luck, it’s worth the effort!
