Faded, oil stained and poised. Shuffling imported fruit and vegetables to the green market from the small yard at Paxton Road. Work all night, a chance to rest at day…

This latest N gauge project is a rest cure. A gentle reworking of a Kernow Farish 03 from bold, brash NSE to work worn and apologetic BR blue. Following familiar steps and enjoying the mental headspace accessed from well practiced craft. Dismantle, hone, strip, prime, yellow, blue, lacquer, decals, lacquer, assembly, weathering, couplings… 

This isn’t a build post, but a letter of appreciation. She isn’t quite finished but I’m enjoying the presence of this Gateshead resident, circa 1983 in the various N gauge settings available in my workshop. Even this, is a mindful pursuit. Until next time, more soon…
