Turned its last wheel…

In all my Class 08 adventures I ended up with a spare body. I can’t quite remember how, probably after building 08202, but the genesis is less important than the result…

A few months ago I shared a few teasing photos of a new project - but realised last weekend I’d never shared the finished model. Let me introduce 08… well who knows which 08 it was, but at least it has been sacrificed to keep the others going rather than purely going for scrap.

Under the bonnet is a Rusty Rails 08 power plant, and some parts from the scrap box in the modified compressor equipment box. The wheel set is from West Hill wagon works and the rest is just paint and weathering…

Not a slavish copy of my inspiration, but full of character never the less. Another placeholder, a promise, that Modern Goods should, must, will be built…

Posed here on Paxton Road though it reminds me of just how much is possible in a small space and how successful this little layout continues to be and probably, why I’ve not managed to really progress beyond its artificial boundaries…
