Brigadelok in 009: blending and weathering...

The undercoat of Matt black was thoroughly dry so I masked off the windows and red parts and applied some Humbrol satin black with the airbrush...

This has turned out a little Matt but that won't be a problem as it will be under weathering soon anyway. Once dry I made a start on the dirtying up starting with a wash on the tank an boiler too surface and the underframe. I used Humbrol chocolate 98 and gunmetal 53 on the tank top and Matt black 33 on the chassis. I mixed a little chocolate and gun metal for the cranks too.

You will also notice the bolster fleet has swollen! I now have 20 which will be plenty for the layout. More soon...
