O&K 40hp in 009: final prototyping...
The forthcoming Narrow Planet O&K kit is nearing completion, and to ensure things are all sorted I'm assembling a final test version...
I have had the body printed in FUD by Shapeways, rather than the Prime Gray from iMaterialise of the production kits due to personal ease, I was ordering other parts from Shapeways at the time, and I'm impressed with the finish. The second version of the etch artwork is perfect and I've started to add some extra details - the pipework runs and cab handrails - still to come are the whistle and safety valves... I think I'm most happy with the fold up cab steps if I'm honest, they were fiddly to draw but are easy to assemble, quite strong and very effective. More soon...
