Stock for Bejsu Reka: basic painting...

The Minitrains based rolling stock for Bejsu Reka is slowly getting there...
Of the twenty stake wagons I've painted six, so a way to go, but I've also painted wooden window frames on the pair of coaches from the Brigadelok set. They'll all be weathered in the future... More soon...

  1. Hi James,

your rolling stock looks great. I also will repaint and weather my rolling stock one day, but before I'll do that, I like to get the layout done.

BTW: I ordered the stakes in black detail plastics from shapeways, but the result was very bad. This material is not usable for Hon30 stuff. Therefore we've to use the FUD stakes.

  2. BTW another question - how did you take the coaches appart for painting?

  3. I bought the FUD ones, and they printed perfectly - and accepted paint well. I cleaned them in 'white spirit' before painting...

To take the coaches apart, you remove the bogies, then the chassis pulls out from the bottom of the coach and the glazing can be removed. The roof and sides are all one moulding. Hope this helps! :)
