Back home…

Back to N. Back to comforting 1990s. I feel so at home here…

My work with models of all scales and gauges is incredibly rewarding - the variety of work and individual customer always keeps it fresh for me. Beyond the bench the world feels even more turbulent than usual.
Recent weeks have seen me considering a ‘new to me’ scale/prototype combination - Canadian modelling in N. I’ve not found this comfortable. For now it has been packed away.

Instead, I am back in my favourite place, back buried in ‘The Freight Only Yearbook 2’ and weathering wonderful Revolution wagons with comforting Humbrol enamels from my first hand experience of the nineties. I feel so at home here…

Until next time, more soon…

  1. Morning James. Revolution wagons are lovely models, I've picked up a few Zanders over the last year or so. Your weathering is very sympathetic. I like the idea of a model railway comfort zone, after a dabble with 1950's O gauge I'm getting stuck into 1980's/90's N gauge again. Definitely a comfort zone. I think your Canadian N was heading in the right direction though... Take care.

    1. Thanks Tom! Wait until you see inside of it… outside isn’t too bad, but inside is a different story!
