On video: Silent Shunting on Paxton Road…
I’ve found myself shuffling wagons round quite frequently this week, superficially ‘playing’ with my latest creation, the D2112 repaint from Kernow’s 03179. It is more than that though…

There is a basic, deep soothing effect from the activity. Clunk, click and basic tactile actions. The push and pull, the almost unconscious decisions on what to move where… it’s mindful and it’s restorative without leaving the house. Shut the door and it’s immersive. Ten minutes later, wander back to join the home, the family and feeling calmer and ready to face the world once more.
I filmed a ‘Beaverbrook’ style video whilst playing last night. I thought you might all enjoy it. Click on the picture and it should load. Thank you as always for stopping by and making this visit part of your daily routine. Until next time, more soon…

ReplyDeletea nice mindful creative piece of filming, I particularly relate to the views partially obscured by the tree canopy, reminds me of standing on an overbridge as a youth bike propped against the bridge craning my neck to see the activity in the works yard. Happy days, long hot summer days with torrential downpours that lasted ten minutes at most taking refuge in the bus shelter.

Eric, perfect, that is just the story I’m telling and you’ve picked it up from the way I put this small video together without any explanation or dialogue. Thank you, hope you enjoyed it.
