On Video: Inside Out…

In the weeks since I finished ‘Inside Out’ I’ve been reflecting on the best way to share the project on video…

It’s tiny diorama form seemed a challenge to capture on the ‘big screen’ - but I had a few ideas like the opening scene and handling the box and locomotive to show how small it all is… these combined with a bit of passion and energy formed a 10 minute overview - above - which I enjoyed putting together.

Whilst you can watch here on the blog above, I’d appreciate it if you also watched an advert via the attached direct link - every little helps…

The project showed me once more the art of the possible in N. It excited me about light, dark and controlling shadows - and this is part of the fuel behind the latest scheme (Night Shift, introduced last Sunday). Until next time, more soon…

  1. Excellent James, you've captured it perfectly. The opening shot is brilliant as it pans around to your face! Superb!

    1. Superb! Seeing the photo which was the inspiration adds so much to this project and watching you hold it really shows how tiny it is!

  2. James i thoroughly enjoyed watching the video of your cameo build inside out. It shows you dont need alot of space to build a layout or just a diorama to show some of your locos and rolling stock. Thank you for sharing your brilliant modelling skills.
