Mosslanda: Night Shift - first video…
Well it had to happen sooner or later, this latest HiFi micro was going to appear ‘on video’, and this first effort has proven it is worth persevering with…
There are some new challenges specific to filming this layout - namely the low-light, which I think is going to require careful control of angles and slower movements of the trains. More though, it is displayed above Denton Road, to the left of my bench. This means the tripod, necessary due to the low light, is precariously balanced on the bench and a drawer pulled out to support the third leg!
So this is a test, a chance to see if video in this small footprint works and should be pursued further - I think the answer to both is a yes, but will look to film the next video from the bench itself, which will help control camera angles and support for the tripod a little easier. In the meantime though, this was a fun distraction the other week, I hope you enjoy it too! Until next time, more soon…

Very nice, James. You have captured the scene very well. I like the proportions of the warehouse. Length and height are perfect, aided by the visual lead-in of the security fence which prevents the building just being a lump at the rear of the scene. Excellent visual balance.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dave, all subtle but deliberate decisions, balance is key in a small space.
DeleteA terrific little video. So much atmosphere. Many thanks, James.
