Polish LAS in 009: main structures complete...

Plasticard is so quick to work with sometimes. The LAS has really come together with just an hours work...
The cylinders are just overlays over the BR80 ones on the N gauge chassis and are a double thickness of 30thou attached to the footplate and have a front edge too in 10thou, the angled sections covering the steam feed pipes are just a section of 30thou with a 10thou front piece. The frames have been extended front and rear, these help the N gauge Fleischmann chassis accurately locate as well as providing a 'false frame' to visually improve below the foot plate.
The rear coupling has been fitted and follows the same principle as the front being a modified RT models one. More soon...

  1. Hi James,
your LAS is coming together very nicely. Any new progress on the Krauss so far?
    Cheers, Gerd

    1. Hi Gerd - thank you - the Krauss is in primer, although the chassis has been painted in a first coat now (red with black cylinders). I plan to get it painted in the next week or so :)
