Early days saw a parade of green TerraTransport units but with the demise of that regional and the sale of their more lucrative lines to G&W, the spur looked like it might loose service. In stepped HMLX, a specialist terminal and short line operator. Today, power is provided by 2779, an ex-Conrail U23B, seen here crossing Mollington Road at the top of Beaverbrook road. Through HMLXs dogged determination we’ve seen traffic return to Atlantic Transload in recent months, but here, another load is destined for the evergreen Co-op feed mill.
Beaverbrook is my HO scale Canadian shelf layout. Approximately 8ft long, 1ft deep and presented in a long thin letter box cameo view, DCC sound and with a muted palette it is a pleasure to visit. Until next time, more soon…
