On Video: 1983 on Paxton Road…

It is 1983 and we’re in the North East. Paxton Road is just another stop for the Team Valley job out if Tyne Yard and 03078 is shuffling wagons around…

The layout continues to inspire and to encourage me to slow down and be in the moment. I hope you enjoy this quiet and deliberate five or so minutes with me and 03078 for company. It is nice to be able to demonstrate some of the magic of this little locomotive ‘on the big screen’ so to speak. Until next time, more soon…

  1. Great stuff, James, many thanks!
I watched the video while having a cuppa, it's amazing how immersive such a small, simple layout can be.
I've got my German H0 layout set up in the garage, it's around 5ft long with a 2ft fiddlestick...also a good way to lose yourself for a few minutes. I've recently been operating with a sound equipped DB V80, but am finding I prefer silent as the sound can be a distraction sometimes.
    Cheers,
    Simon.

    1. Yes, sound has its place, but I don't miss it on Paxton Road.

    2. Paxton Road what an interesting layout.
I'm looking at having a micro layout but in "0" scale. I've got some ideas using Paxton Road as an e.g. which I think I could make work in about 7ft-ish. I'm looking for something that is quick to set up and gives me some enjoyment while drawing me into the model world.
The number of times I've followed your many excursions there have always held my interest so much so that I'm wondering about doing the "N" gauge thing myself but then I do have my "0" gauge kit to utilise.
I'll add to my list of things to discuss & decide before a start is made.
I do enjoy the short workings you show James may there be many more.
