Deutz OMZ117 in 009: fret fitted...

A lovely package to come home to at lunchtime today, the new 'test' etches for both my Deutz and the Bagnall (more on that shortly)...
The little Deutz was intended to be a little simpler to assemble than the NS2 in the existing EuroNG range - so more of the detail is on the print. However, I wanted a crisp set of bonnet panels, so these have been etched and look great.
Especially the incredibly fiddly bonnet front grill! The cab roof simple is rolled against a prit-stik or similar to introduce a gentle curve, and then the edges need a tighter roll (half etched for this reason) using a needle file handle as a good diameter.
The only parts left to fit in these early photos are the coupling rods, which do work, but I need to do some running tests to ensure they're ok before making too much more progress.
However, at this stage I'm very happy with how it's turned out. More soon...
