Commission: Ruston 44/48 in 7/8ths (2 of 4)…
Today is an opportunity to share the second of the batch of 7/8ths Ruston 44/48s, and a more industrial rather than ex-Military vibe…
Each model has detail variations but the headlines are this is a 45mm gauge example with the digital sound fitment. This system gives incredibly realistic and enjoyable play, with a feel you’re driving the real thing. Acceleration and braking controlled separately and gear changes can be simulated it’s a great big toy!
The weathered red-oxide finish is set off with the wasp striped buffers and whilst she isn’t a shed, she is well loved.
There are not plans for a further batch in 2026 but if you’d like to commission a one off we can discuss this, no problem. The same for any previous ‘batch’ models… you can get in touch with me via the contact form here, or if that doesn’t seem to work (as it doesn’t like some tablets) then there is an email address on my Facebook page.
Until next time, more soon…
