To the stops…

In the moments where life feels stacked against me, where tiredness and poor health conspire to impact even my mental outlook it can be rewarding to rediscover my passion for model railways…

To the stops. Earlier this week it felt like I could go no further. I was working on commissions but my own interests were tied up in endless loops of indecision. There were so many unfinished or unstarted projects in my collection I felt guilty and weighed down… unsure I had ever felt like this before and certainly no clear way forwards.

To the stops. Relief comes through opening the doors and letting the passengers off… talking to my partner, to a friend and to myself. Moving things on and taking a few easy but tangible steps in a new direction.

Because even when we’re at the stops, a new destination is being determined - our train continues. Until next time, more soon…

  1. The journey is endless. As soon as one instalment finishes the next one starts.
