Sold: Birkenhead 03 and runners for just £150…

“You’ve only just finished them?” Yes, the Farish 03 and pair of runner wagons are for sale - and I’m asking for just £150…

I really enjoyed recreating these models, but realistically they are a distraction. The 03 can run with my Speedlink stock, but at the cost of time spent playing with the main actors, my 08s and D2112.

The model is a Kernow NSE 03 that has been completely stripped of paint and resprayed. It sports the short conical exhaust of the prototype and warning flashes match the style and position worn by the full size locomotive in the early to mid 80s. It is fitted with full pipework and smoothed and filled buffer beams, DG couplings fitted. Weathered, she oozes character.

The pair of wagons are heavily re-worked Farish 3 planks. These have new side doors, door bangers, brake modifications, axle box stays and a fully weathered detail painted finish with custom markings. Also fitted with DG couplings and magnetic droppers on the coupling loops.

The price of £150 barely covers the original purchase price, so grab yourself a bargain. Postage, extra, at cost at buyers preference. Payment via Bank Transfer. Get in touch in the usual way to reserve these items. As soon as they are sold I’ll update the post, thank you for looking.

If you miss these, Gerald Road and the 70s era stock will shortly be for sale too…

I’m suffering a horrendous head cold this week - so apologies if I’m a little off the boil in answering. Until next time, more soon…
