Coming home…

From New England to Scotland, from West Sussex to Denbighshire I’m home…

I am home and Coalbridge Street has returned to an upper shelf in the workshop, destined to slumber for a few months I’m sure, whilst the warm lights glow on Lochdubh and Paxton Road and I ponder how you could share my experience of ‘arriving’ home…

For whilst Coalbridge is small, this pair are tiny; to share their magic would mean letting people stand almost nose to the fascia. It is an interesting conundrum - these familiar, comforting places would feel cold and un-inviting if you were stood behind a barrier at an exhibition.

So I consider myself lucky, to have enough space to surround my workshop with these almost true cameos, miniature curios of a deep emotional value, familiar and welcoming, safe and secure in their company. More, it helps me recognise that my writing and photography, shared here, go a fair way to achieving that goal - for whilst you can’t see it in the flesh, you can hear my love for these models and explore them at many times greater size on the screen if your device.

For now then, it works. Until next time, more soon…
