Friday Update: Twenty-seven nine nineteen...

A milestone this week, as the last set of Hudson Hunslet's in this years batch are finished...
This final trio are all 45mm gauge models, and show the three cab options off nicely. They've all got other subtle variations including the radiator grill and bracing, exhaust style and in the case of the un-cabbed version, which strictly follows a prototype at Amberley, a different bonnet top, filter and lubricator pipework, as well as an after market exhaust silencer. The weather has been awful though, and I've also broken my toe, so progress has slowed although I did manage to get primer on this morning in a dry spell.
As well as the trio some of the existing models are in the paint shop, and this model which has a Trefor cab has had the chassis painted black now, and the body pre-shaded. The driver is from Model-earth, he is the German driver but I've swapped his head, removed the wrench from his hand and the cargo pocket from his trousers, so he looks more typically British. He fits nicely with and without the cab.
Finally, I'm very aware of the approaching deadline for East Works. This is now properly wired up but there is still a lot to get on with - so despite being somewhat immobile Ive pressed on with the trio  of buildings needed to complete it - L-R the engine shed, weight bridge and mill building. All to be painted in the coming days before I get on with the grass and ground cover. More soon...

    1. Indeed, and once they've got some colour on again they'll look very different.
