Janus handrails re-fitted...

You might say finished, but I don't think so quite yet, nearly but not quite, the handrails are back on but they need a wash of the green used on the body, and then a gentle weathering...
They were primed and sprayed lightly at the time the body was, and look ok on one side, but the back side of them is still slightly grey/blue from the original moulding. This should be toned down and lost by a wash I think, and then a dry brush in places where the paint might have worn off through handling...
The bodywork has now been finished with a light airbrushing of Humbrol Metalcote Gunmetal (27004) and Matt Leather (62), which has given a nice finish and toned down some of the streaks of rust and dirt that I'd painted by hand.
I've had notification that the name plates and works plates for the cab sides have been dispatched by Narrow Planet today, so once they've arrived I'll revisit the handrails and finish the model off - ready for another OO layout!
If you'd like me to re-work you're own ready to run model, bring it to life with a custom weathering job, renaming or full-repaint then do get in touch for a personal proposal. Prices from as little as £50. More soon...
