Dyfrdwy Tramway: Logging operations...

During the shutdown the tramway has been quiet, as all non-essential work has ceased in the area, leaving no need to run trains on the line. However some local building is continuing where possible, and some timber felled for a new home being built in the village needed bringing down from near the quarry...
The tramway hasn't seen as much traffic as usual due to the fire risk of the scorched burnt grass and gorse on the upper sections of the line. However, the Keef ventured out because the timber was required for another project and the road access higher up the valley is non-existent.
The Dyfrdwy Tramway is my garden railway here in North Wales, 32mm track in 7/8th of an inch to the foot (1:13.7 scale). The bolsters are scratch built on Model-earth budget skip chassis. The brake van is scratch built, inspired by those at Leighton Buzzard built upon old Simplex chassis. More soon...
