Down on Beaverbrook: Road test…

99% complete RS23 8032 stretches her legs for the first time ‘in service’ on Beaverbrook this weekend…

The model, a Kaslo Shops kit has joined the HMLX fleet and is in a patched out CP Rail action red paint scheme. Rolling on a Bachmann Alco S2 chassis she’s a smooth running addition and I’m looking forward to enjoying playing, sorry, operating her in the days and weeks ahead.

Wipers, mirrors/wind deflectors and the last of the weathering aside, she’s done. If you’re interested in seeing me and the model ‘in the flesh’ we’ll be at Warnerley with Paul Marshall-Potter operating his layout ‘Maple River’. Let me know if you’re coming, I’ll keep an eye out for you! Until next time enjoy your weekend…

  1. Hi James
Thought the RS-23 looked good on Friday but with the weathering etc now really has the feel of a working loco. Not too much oil and grime but enough. Hope you will do a "Down on Beaverbrook" with it.

    Have a good weekend

    Best regards
    Alan

    1. Thanks Alan, you won't need to wait too long, I'm uploading such a video to the 'members area' of the my channel this evening - it should be live before ten. I'll make it public tomorrow...

  2. Hi James, do you have a link for the exhibition you and Paul M-P are exhibiting at? I couldn’t find anything when, I googled. No rush to reply; have a Saturday night. Best, Jonathan
