Thinning out or hard pruning?

My period of modelling 006.5 feels behind me, but I held on to the majority of models and the first layout. I’m not sure why?

This is just one example - throughout my life layout ideas and collections of ‘stock’ have come and gone. Complete layouts have found new homes whilst stock remains and I hold onto other models but now without a home. I enjoy creating, and that includes photography of my models too - so whilst things may no longer physically be with me I have both the memories and the photos…

I ponder what is the difference!? I used to think it was ‘ease of recreation’, but that doesn’t seem to be it - nor does it seem to be how ‘personal’ a model feels - because I’m happy to sell deeply personal items on when I feel comfortable with their new home…

These questions may seem irrelevant - but it is a reflection of both my current lack of physical and mental space. I have too many models here, and I feel a need to thin and refocus… and perhaps be more severe with the pruning too, perhaps some collections need completely digging out whilst others can just have a branch or two thinned out…

Understanding myself a little more will help me avoid and regrets. Until next time, more soon…

    1. They are, I’ve no plans to sell the 006.5, I don’t think they’d have much market anyway…
