Welsh Highland Past, Present and Future...

Yesterday (Sunday) was another well earned day off, this time a trip over to see Steve, Tom, David and Stuart with the Narrow Planet stand at Boston Lodge. I managed a round trip to Beddgelert and back with 4 different steam engines and 1 diesel, and generally enjoyed the atmosphere and frequency of operation...

The Narrow Planet stand was in the old carriage workshop at Boston Lodge, good views all day from the doorway...

...a ride on an original bug box...

...and a trip up to Beddgelert behind Lyd and back with Russell and Prince (I did a second trip on this later in the day with Russell hauling it's last return trip of the weekend)...

...finally back to Port on the shuttle with Moelwyn and Taliesin. A lovely day, topped off with a trip to see John Wooden and a curry (more on that in a separate post). More soon...
