Commission: Custom 1/12th wagon...

I was asked earlier this year to design and build some 1/12th scale rolling stock, and the coaches have appeared in a Friday update previously. However, here is a dedicated post to the now completed associated flat wagon...
This is a funny thing for me, as in it's quite a large 7/8ths wagon, but of course therefore quite a small 1/12th scale wagon! Based upon a Heywood style, it obviously makes use of the lovely Talisman Heywood axle boxes and bell-mouth couplings as well as lift rings on the chassis sides.
The chassis is constructed from several layers of laser cut MDF for strength, with a hand scribed plasticard 'wooden' deck. This has been finished in clean condition with a well used but generally good condition wagon deck.
The Slaters wheels have been given a paint as well to tone down their 'bling' factor, but they look superb and add some well needed heft in the wagon. I look forward to seeing it behind a locomotive in the coming months. If you'd like me to create you a unique item of rolling stock please do get in touch either through Facebook, a forum or the contact form on my website. More soon...
